Identification #

Imshaugia aleurites is a gray, isidiate, Parmelioid that looks similar to isidiate Parmelia species. This species lacks the hammer marks seen on the upper surface of the lobes of the Parmelia genus. In well-developed specimens the central portions of the thalli can become densely isidiate and abundantly apotheciate similar to P. saxatilis.
